This is the old outdoor chapel at Rockport UMC. In the summer of 2014, this chapel was removed, and a new, updated chapel with additional trees and landscaping was installed in it's place. The update was becoming necessary, as a number of large trees had recently been lost due to storms, the ash borer infestation plaguing NE Ohio in recent years, and erosion of the hillside going into the Rocky River Valley. The new outdoor chapel features much of the same charm of its predecessor, with technological updates to improve the sound system, and a wider center aisle ideal for outdoor summer weddings, funerals, and other events.

Way to trespassing on railroad property! This picture can get you a felony.

Bo Loong Chinese Restaurant. A very authentic, full-service restaurant, featuring a large dining room and party room. They have an extensive menu featuring traditional Chinese cuisine. Open very late all week.

Wooof! Hi from nearby. ~M&L'sDad~

The appropriate title should be "Signal Tower". This is BE (Berea) tower - the signal tower that controlled the junction between the New York Central, to the north (Lake Shore & Michigan Southern), and the Big 4 (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnatti & St. Louis RR)from the south. Trains from Cleveland Union Terminal crossed over here to go to Chicago and Detroit, or went straight on the Big 4 for Columbus, Dayton, Springfield, Cin'ci, Indianapolis and St. Louis. The pride of the New York Central System "Great Steel Fleet" thundered by here dozens of times a day until the Penn Central debacle.
