Of course you are right.

The three digits referred to are indeed the

number of the beast, the beast being Satan!

It is my understanding, and I look for

verification on this one, is that the Motor

Registration Authorities in the UK will not issue

the treble digits in question. But, in Ireland,

for some perverse reason, the telephone

numbers of all Dublin City Police Stations

begin with the treble six!

A Google search for the "number of

the beast" will give a very detailed

account.

Ces gros camions blancs s'imposent partout où ils peuvent. Les occupants sortent alors le mobilier, puis le pastis et le gros rouge qui tâche. Ces squatteurs des coins les plus jolis lâchent ensuite leurs besoins et déchets sur place, puis repartent à la chasse d'un autre terrain à souiller. On ne peut tout de même pas tout clôturer à cause de ces pollueurs ?

I lived here from 1958 to 1968 and my parents sold it in approximately 1990.

I t is a magnificent place and it was from here that I learnt to row and scull as well as enjoying a beer or two at "The Flowerpot".

I remember many happy hours boating on the river and also working during my holidays at Hambleden lock. I used to scull my skiff to work !!

I believe that the house was originally built for a gentleman by the name of Sir Thomas Pink who made his fortune from making jam that was supplied to the British Army.

I ma glad to see the house looking in good order
