Oh I now see the Eckley Fishing Pier, you can gain access to this through East Bay Parks entrance. I love to drive that Crockett Scenic road. It's too bad the county or state can't open the road so you can drive straight to Martinez. Wishful thinking on my part, I guess.

Fantastic colors and shapes. The rounded shapes of the clouds echo those of the eroded rocks while the cool gray, blue and white of the sky forms a nice contrast with the red below.

Martinez see lots of trains come through. Two Amtrak routes come through, Oakland-Bakersfield and San Jose-Sacramento. Also a lot of Union Pacific freights.

Yeah, it is a pretty neat two-part mural. One part on each side of the road.

The tallest building was the county jail. Today, you'll find the jail on court street.

You caught a rare shot of Mt. Diablo with snow on it. For those Google Earth viewers who are not familar with the area, the higher peaks in the area get dusted with snow no more than 5 or 6 days a year. Not only that, but it is fairly clear day, more the exception than the rule during the winter. Nicely done.
