Haycock Island North Queensland is about North East of Palm Cove and about 20 km North of Cairns, Queensland in Trinity Bay. Haycock Island is uninhabited. It is nicknamed the Scout Hat Island because it looks like an oversized scout hat. It is a few hundred metres South East of Double Island.

Palm Cove is a beach community in Far North Queensland, Australia located 27 kilometres (17 mi) north of the city of Cairns. At the 2006 census, Palm Cove had a population of 1,215.[1]
