Captain Peter's conversations

Ha ha. As often as you seem to cross that is lots of pig roasting. What do you roast crossing the Equator? A bullock? Then, at sea, it is very well to make some special occasions. When we broke off to head to port, 3 weeks out and 1 in, the celebration in warm waters for those that had finished all work was pizza and burgers on deck with all night movies. That was back in the old days of projectors and bed sheets hung on a deckhouse and audience on hatch covers. I did not make many since the little group I was in got the most work when the rest finished. Still, there were breaks out there under the stars watching movies and munching.

Hi Captain Peter,,thanks a lot infos

Sieh an. Während du die Crew bloß an den Schweinegrill und zum großen Weihnachtsbüffet gekriegt hast, hat Theo sie sogar zu Heiligabend auf den Signalmast getrieben :-)

Leander Tower or Maiden Tower (Turkish: "Kız Kulesi")

Kuleli Military School

Rumeli Hisarı (Rumelian Fortress)

I always thought that paddle wheel is fake. I only know the small side paddle wheel steamers here. As a child I was fascinated by the visible steam engine and that dangerous sound! Bremen still runs the WESERSTOLZ. That sound!

Barbarian with white apron :-) terrible sight

Really a beautiful place with view over the blue sea LIKE Best wishes .--------------------------------------------------. Jens
