Dear Sir or Madam, I have won the Institute of Structural Engineers Engineering Architecture Prize 2009, and wish to use your image of Centro Unite d'Habitation to illustrate the argument I am putting forward in the text.
My article is due to be published in an edition of the Structural Engineer Magazine, which is read by professionals working in the construction industry all over the world. I was hoping to put across the argument that structures that function well are good looking. Hence that efficient engineering is a fundamental part of Architecture. I feel that the argument is rather lacklustre without being supported by your image of Unite d'Habitation.
Please can you allow the Institution of Structural engineers to use your image in their magazine? I It would be great if you could contact me at m.powell@student.liverpool.ac.uk as all I require is a short statement of authorisation to be sent to the editor of the journal(ian.farmer@istructe.org).
