Great - lovely shot. When was it taken, please? (And does the Waverley still call there?) (When!)

My mother was born in Ilfracombe and lived in Greenclose Road, you may know it. Hence my visits to North Devon. It's a magnificent bit of coast, isn't it?

John, I remember in the late 70's on a beautiful, still, sunny day I was doing some work there for the Circular Head Council. As I reflected on the magnificent surroundings, the quietness, serenity and history of the place I could almost say, what a beautiful resting place for one's mortal remains.

Wow, a rare scene. There probably hasn't been that much snow for years. Have you any more of Farnham in the snow?

Not picky, Jon, just correct. Please let me know if you notice any further errors &/or omissions.

Thank you for your kind comments...

Andrew.

Thanks for your comments, I only just noticed your reply. I thought you must live in Sydney or thereabouts - so do we - and our daughter lives in Bondi. I was born in Farnham, Surrey, hence my photos of that town - and the relevant pubs!!!

My wife's mother is 97 and we go over to the UK to visit her and take the opportunity to tour. Devon and Cornwall always attract us but easyJet takes us to other great places too.

Panoramio is a great success, isn't it? I notice the number of pictures on Google Earth has grown massively in the last year. I must add a few more and I'll keep checking on your great works too!!!!

From Jon
