After 2081 miles of walking with a late friend, Panoramio seems a great way to share photos that would otherwise stay locked away. I hope some will find enjoyment from them! I have started a Group called British Walks http://www.panoramio.com/group/18301 and slowly uploading so the pictures can be seen in sequence. If anyone has a sequence of photos from their walks in the British Countryside, and would like to share, please visit the Group

Thank you for your kind words Peter. We have prepared for the storms but it is eerily quiet at the moment. Keep safe yourself and I hope it is not as bad as expected!

Greetings, Rosa.

I thought your keen eye would spot it Karin ;)) My brother spotted it before me...I wish I'd had my other lens on! Thanks for your like.

Best wishes, Rosa.

I am interested in your title as it is indeed a place of sadness for those who grieved the loss of the twenty victims of the train crash which occurred on the platform track in the foreground on 1st Januanary 1946 (around 6.55 p.m.). It was the third worst crash on the LMS and was caused by ballast interfering with the points lock in advance of the platform. A fish train ran into the rear of a stationary passenger train. I wonder if there is a memorial plaque on the platform ? Thanks for sharing this atmospheric and interesting picture. Like. Regards. Jim

Thank you Bogdan.

We like the area around Alvor so much that we have visited it about fourteen times!

All the best Peter

Thank you Bogdan.

Coming across this green scenery was a surprise, and a great pleasyre!

Regards from England, Peter

Thank you Bogdan.

This is actually a scan taken form a slide, the picture take in the 1960s by my late uncle. The haze is due to the smog we used to get around the industrialised city at that time.

Best wishes Peter
