After 2081 miles of walking with a late friend, Panoramio seems a great way to share photos that would otherwise stay locked away. I hope some will find enjoyment from them! I have started a Group called British Walks http://www.panoramio.com/group/18301 and slowly uploading so the pictures can be seen in sequence. If anyone has a sequence of photos from their walks in the British Countryside, and would like to share, please visit the Group

It is indeed! I would like to take another picture from this spot when the leaves are all fallen and see the difference!

Regards, Rosa.

Hi Rosa did you see this other little house near Draycott in the Clay

Best wishes Peter

Thank you Rosa, never expected to find such a large and magnificent church at Hampton Lucy!

Best wishes peter

Very pretty faces Peter...I don't expect they are still around though :-(

Like.

Regards, Rosa.

Interesting question Peter - the winters are generally milder here (except when they are NOT) than Cumbria - but we are getting older (NO I hear you say, YES its true) and so are less and less enthusiastic about them.

Every few years we have a snow storm or ice storm that keeps us locked in our homes for a week.

A few years ago we had a 1/4" of snow which stranded us all at work! Many people slept under their desks.... it took me 4 hours to drive the ten miles home - in a big 4 wheel drive truck.

It just became ice and froze into a slippy glassy road covering.

So.... who knows what this winter will bring but about mid-Feb I need a long weekend in Florida. Know what I mean?

J

Thank you Jethro, I remember it was very hot for the time of year, and the clouds were a little relief.

All the best Peter

Hi Jethro I use the negatives. It a bit fiddly on the fingers when you have used a Birmingham Screwdriver all your life!

Problem also ceaning, but I can get the worst specks off.

All the best Peter

Shame about the old tires eh Peter but its the same the world over (some places worse than others)

I'd love to visit Malta as long as I don't have to travel to get there!

:o)

Jethro

Wow, another amazing crop of scans Peter

I admire your patience (says he who once scanned 3,000 slides).

Best wishes ol' buddy from North Carolina - Jethro
