After 2081 miles of walking with a late friend, Panoramio seems a great way to share photos that would otherwise stay locked away. I hope some will find enjoyment from them! I have started a Group called British Walks and slowly uploading so the pictures can be seen in sequence. If anyone has a sequence of photos from their walks in the British Countryside, and would like to share, please visit the Group

Thanks for your nice comments, Ivan and John! I'm glad you like this photo! Best wishes, Anne

A lovely shot of the bird in it's natural habitat. Y*. I see the latin name includes 'garrulus' but in my experience Jays are not at all garrulous! In fact, they are mostly silent, slipping through the trees without a sound. I guess whoever named the bird was being ironic!

Best wishes, Brian.

Hi Rosa

The East Coast is different but has its own interests. In this picture from October 1998 you can feel the strong wind!

The old advert..."Skegness is so bracing."

All the best Peter

Ok Peter Thanks. I don't go out when it's cold! Lol! I want to go to Tixall, but according to Google Earth, it looks barren of parking space, within easy walking distance. Until my other knee is fixed, I'm limited to Sutton Park, and other places I can drive to, and park up!

Lovely shot. - Friendly greetings from Athens.
