After 2081 miles of walking with a late friend, Panoramio seems a great way to share photos that would otherwise stay locked away. I hope some will find enjoyment from them! I have started a Group called British Walks http://www.panoramio.com/group/18301 and slowly uploading so the pictures can be seen in sequence. If anyone has a sequence of photos from their walks in the British Countryside, and would like to share, please visit the Group

NICK-KNACK

Thank you Nick. Thankfully it doesn't change too much...but I know that feeling ;-)

Thanks for your like.

mang darpin

Thank you very much.

Greetings, Rosa.

Jack Tol

Thank you Jack. I go here quite often with my granddaughter as they have parkland with swings on trees!

Greetings, Rosa.

You are right Jethro

It was not like this in the late 50's. Did you read the comments under the picture?

What a place it must have been in 1900 with 4 storeys on top! Strange thing is that it catered for young men from London, obviously them from the North, and here in the dark satanic mills of the Black Country, could not afford a holiday!

All the best Peter

Hi Jon No there's no parking close by, I park at Millford and walk along the canal.

I visited as a kid Peter - remembering mushy peas from a bowl in the market and that's about it. Just another seaside holiday (although I now realize that it wasn't).

Nice old shot - Jethro

Bottom right Peter?

That's just a shopping trolley captive area - a corral for carts!

Cheers - Jethro
