Your photo taken in Isla Clarion of Mexico striked me because I recently plan a trip to dive the Revillegigedos Archipelago and from all the info I collected, Isla Clarion was out of bound as there was no boat going there.
May I ask how you got there to take this beautiful picture ?
Fbeek, I am sorry. My apology. I heard some stories about Mapia Atoll although I haven't seen it myself. They said the Japanese family went back to the island and recovered the bones of the Japanese soldiers who was left there after the war. And the family built a shrine on the island as a memorial. My mother ship was anchored quite far away and I couldn't see the shrine. I just saw a structure which resemble a house of some sort. There are still a handful of people living there but life surely was hard.
