Hello - I'm just a chap aged over 65 but still working ~ who happens to like taking photographs and sharing the results with others. I have a Nikon D700 and associated lenses. Sometimes I use a Panasonic DMC TZ5 compact camera which is much lighter of course and much better to take when I'm walking any distance. On occasions the results can be very pleasing too. Originally I tried to restrict myself to Google Earth acceptable shots and I have uploaded a few thousand of those. Now with Google street cars etc, that sort of work is no longer essential. So landscapes become more relevant perhaps. I think that Panoramio is a great site and a wonderful way to see other people's work. I hope that it remains in some form or other. All the very best to you all. Last edited April 2015

Thank you!

Thank you, Mauro and Mara. I am delighted that you liked this little corner of Norway.

Ciao, Amelia

The similarity is remarkable, Christian, and is seems that this boat is of the same vintage! When I have time I'll look up more about the Arral Sea as it was a little difficult for me to translate. Thank you for your fantastic link.

Köszönöm Dezső.

Best wishes, Mark

Thanks Ron. Your comments are much appreciated. Regards Derek

Many thanks Paolo. Regards Derek

It didn't last long, Joe, as you can tell from the latest photo of the monument! It was even worse in Malaig.

Cheers, Amelia

Hello Alan this was taken the day Hazel and I walked the river bank to see if it could be used as a vantage point for when you and Sue visited with a view to getting shots of the two Lancasters take off from Coningsby .. though i did take a few around the church along with you i believe though lost all from a visit and posted here on previous gallery

Hello Nick yes indeed it is certainly a good sized church right beside the castle .. i am pleased you like the shot too :))

best wishes to both ~ Steve

Hi Nick,

Thank you so much for your visit here. It is a spectacular place.

I have had a quick look at your wonderful gallery, and I can see that you are very well traveled, so I am sure that you will enjoy Istanbul. It was a little different for me, I had such a wonderful local guide!

Best Wishes Peter
