Hello - I'm just a chap aged over 65 but still working ~ who happens to like taking photographs and sharing the results with others. I have a Nikon D700 and associated lenses. Sometimes I use a Panasonic DMC TZ5 compact camera which is much lighter of course and much better to take when I'm walking any distance. On occasions the results can be very pleasing too. Originally I tried to restrict myself to Google Earth acceptable shots and I have uploaded a few thousand of those. Now with Google street cars etc, that sort of work is no longer essential. So landscapes become more relevant perhaps. I think that Panoramio is a great site and a wonderful way to see other people's work. I hope that it remains in some form or other. All the very best to you all. Last edited April 2015

Bonjour Bernard. Merci beaucoup pour vos aimables paroles et Like. J'ai beaucoup apprécié. Salutations Tone.

Hi Roger and thankyou very much for your very kind comment :)

I hardly ever get on to Panoramio anymore, I drifted away when I heard that the site was closing down....... but like the phoenix they just keep coming back :)

I have had rather a hectic past few months, what with the problems I have had with my knee and the move to Tasmania, but things are settling down a bit now. We are enjoying life down here on the beautiful Tamar river.

I joined the local camera club last night and met a couple of fellow night sky enthusiasts. I am relishing the cold clear winter nights to come and the bountiful skies that such conditions will reveal. The aurora is often visible from here in northern Tasmania, that will add an extra element to my night sky photography :)

I think I will start to post a few shots on here again, the murmurings of closure seemed to have passed for now.

I have recently been using Flickr and Facebook, you are most welcome to take a look.

Warm regards Steve

This is the reply I got from a member of the forum:

Amelia, send them a bill. This can help you how much you can charge them:

Trouble is - there is no contact info on traveltop web pages. According to their "Who is" record site origin is in China, so communicatio could be difficult. :( Some admin's contact phones and emails provided, but...

It doesn't really seem to be a useful solution. I don't have time to deal with things at the moment. We're still in a hovel, but at least we have new french doors, and the plaster is drying. We should be able to paint everything in about 10 days, but there's lots to do.

Speak soon, Hugs A x x

Cheers simon roberts. Thanks very much for your Kind words and Visit. Tone
