Nick Weall
on Google Maps
Hello - I'm just a chap aged over 65 but still working ~ who happens to like taking photographs and sharing the results with others. I have a Nikon D700 and associated lenses. Sometimes I use a Panasonic DMC TZ5 compact camera which is much lighter of course and much better to take when I'm walking any distance. On occasions the results can be very pleasing too. Originally I tried to restrict myself to Google Earth acceptable shots and I have uploaded a few thousand of those. Now with Google street cars etc, that sort of work is no longer essential. So landscapes become more relevant perhaps. I'm doing a long series of bird shots this year (2013), starting as a complete novice I hope that the quality of the shots improves with time. Quite what I will do once I have captured decent shots of all the easy to find birds, I'm not sure yet. I think that Panoramio is a great site and a wonderful way to see other people's work. All the very best to you all. Last edited April 2013

Thank you Sonja. Best wishes, Andy

I like it. Something to do with the Olympic stadium and an association football club??? (I hear rumblings and murmurings from my diverse sources but can't make head nor tail...)

Or not.

No doubt you will enlighten me Nick.

Nice shot anyway! like

Best wishes, Andy

Round the rugged rock, the ragged rascal ran.

I like this angle best, but like the way the light falls on the structure better in the other xxx

A strepsil should cure it dear LGM, but I may be missing something :~) I once galloped an ex race horse along a beach once ~ terrifying yet exhilarating and very fast xxx Oh and a YSL as well coz it is a great shot with the filigree water in the foreground ~~~~~~~

Steve. D .. NO VIEWS… Thanks a lot Steve I only really put this shot up on Pano to find out what the bird was, I was then intending to delete it. (Alan and Amelia soon told me that it was a blackcap.) I think perhaps we'd better let it stay and thanks for your YSL. The bird has lovely soft colouring and likes its sunflower hearts it seems :~)

Thank you for this added information Nick very interesting indeed and all new to me :))
