Ha ha ha - the above comments have been so interesting to read, Nick & Sandy - in the northern hemisphere noses are freezing off, and in the southern one they are melting off!!

In the background I have the tv commentary on SA vs UK Cricket at Newlands, in Cape Town. The spectators are all crisping in the sun I think. Isn't it so much easier to sit in a cool sitting-room with something cold & frosty (no, not your nose, Nick) to watch the game?

Nick Weall

Hello - I'm just a chap aged 62 plus (x) more years ~ who happens to like taking photographs and sharing the results with others.\ \ Sometimes just recording my passage and holiday tours - often around France and Germany, and a few other European Countries too.\ \ I'm particularly fond of the Mountains. I have a Nikon D700 and associated lenses and I'm trying to step up my game a little.\ \ I'll try to restrict myself to Google Earth relevent shots here in the main, with just the odd non google earth shot thrown in as a teaser.\ \ Thanks for visiting my little gallery here - I think this is a brilliant site and a wonderful way to see other's work.\ \ All the very best to you all.\ \ (I find google earth a great way to research my next trip too - finding new mountain passes to explore.)
