Thank you for your interest here, I'm happy that I have found something else you remember, beside steam locos. When you were here, did you isit the above mentioned English pub too? I did visit the transport museum, that was at the top of my list, and the French one in Mulhouse too. It was a great trip, lots of interesting things to see, and more photos to follow soon. Nick Weall

Nick Weall Hello - I'm just a chap aged over 65 but still working ~ who happens to like taking photographs and sharing the results with others. I have a Nikon D700 and associated lenses. Sometimes I use a Panasonic DMC TZ5 compact camera which is much lighter of course and much better to take when I'm walking any distance.On occasions the results can be very pleasing too. Originally I tried to restrict myself to Google Earth acceptable shots and I have uploaded a few thousand of those. Now with Google street cars etc, that sort of work is no longer essential. So landscapes become more relevant perhaps. I'm doing a long series of bird shots this year (2013), starting as a complete novice I hope that the quality of the shots improves with time. Quite what I will do once I have captured decent shots of all the easy to find birds, I'm not sure yet. I think that Panoramio is a great site and a wonderful way to see other people's work.
