auxent the source of information is Panos Vagenas of nearby Planitero village who is now 80+ years old and was part of the team.
The only person he remembers (of the six) is "Aris from Soudena" as he said, who was shot next to him as they run to take cover in the ditch of the photo. He said he was most probably buried in Soudena which is the old name of nowadays' Kato Lousi nearby village. He does not recall who the other 4 were.
It was a private airfield and owners were not anymore interested in aviation activity inside their property.
It closed in 2004.
