fished this lough many times and will be doing it again next year.the fishing is still very good and is one of the few irish loughs that the pole exells from the jetties.

had a great holiday here we stopped at mc allisters hotel which was fantastic .although it was a few years ago it still remains fresh in my mind and heart .the fishing was good and the food was even better hope to go back some day?

top pub with great beer and food.Jeff and Helen are good land lords and keep a well run Establishment.I myself have visited this pub many times and had my fair share of there excellent beer (DAVE THE BUTCHER)

melverly represents some of the happiest times of my childhood.I spent long hot summer holidays there fishing and generaly enjoying myself.These times were special and were spent with some of my best mates and were made possable by my friend Peter lavenders dad George who gave all his spare time to help us to enjoy are early experences of fishing.Billy lavender Georges brother is layed to rest in the church yard.I my self intend to still go to melverly for many years to come.Again many thanks to george lavender(DAVID GRIFFITHS )SALTNEY
