Yeah I've never seen it like that before, when I saw it I wasn't too sure about going ahead to the Lower Portals but I went anyway and with great care I made it across the last creek crossing. And with great carelessness I managed to loose one of my boots which made the walk back a bit unpleasant, it took a couple of days for my feet to recover.
Yeah your right about their location but I've marked the spot where I took the photo from "roughly", which is right above the Upper Portals, as for that spot being Cleared Ridge I'm not 100% sure on that. Thanks for your input I'm always open to suggestions or corrections.

Mt Barney is a beautiful and unique place and I hope by uploading my pictures I can encourage other nature enthusiasts to go out and explore the park.
