my sentiments exactly !.......that speed limit is pathetic. and yet (if you know the Central Coast), there is a beautiful sealed road from Wamberal north to Tumbi Umbi called Tumbi Road.......a nice easy drive of 80kph. BUT the first half is signposted at 60kph and the last part at 70kph !! i usually do 80k or 90 along there LOL. its a semi-rural setting.

Thanks for your comments Lloyd B. The Flinders is certainly a special place. Very beautiful no matter what time of year it is.

this picture was taken from where the Old Pacific Highway crosses over the F3 Freeway near Kariong. I am (precariously) seated underneath the Pacific Highway overpass road.....one false move and i'm roadkill lol

hi mate, yes, you are so correct....... that photo was taken from a rock ledge (the one that you know of), NOT Warrah Trig which (i now know) is further north at the end of the firetrail off Patonga Drive. I didn't know what "Trig" meant.....thanks for explaining that. No i don't hang-glid.....scared of heights lol. Those hang-gliding photos were taken as the glifers swooped over me, whilst i was rock-hopping north of Redhead. thanks for your comment. cheers....

2nd Point (headland) is one of the 3 Points (prominant headlands) which drew Captain James Cook's attention on his voyage of discovery of Australia in the 18th Century.

the first headland that he noticed as he cruised past was the northern headland of Copacabana Beach and it was named as 1st Point >>>>> there is a lookout on that headland today called "Captain Cook Lookout". The 2nd headland that he noticed was the headland from where i took this photo and it was named 2nd Point. The 3rd headland that drew his attention was the large southern headland of Little Beach known as Bombi Moore.
