This particular intersection is the location of the ambush depicted in Band of Brothers. There was no railroad and no bridge, but the hedgerows would have arched over the top of all 3 parts of this "T" intersection, giving it an equally dark and intriguing look. The Germans ambushed were likely from the 795th Ost Battalion, en route from left to right in this picture.
