Gate leading to Bhutan at Jainagar on Indian side and Fhuentsholing on Bhutan side.

This is looking at Lake Diablo not Ross Lake. The view is indeed from Sourdough but is looking more or less east into Thunder Arm of Lake Diablo. The road seen crossing the lake is by the Colonial Creek campground. The Peak at the top right is Colonial Peak. My grandfather built the Sourdough trail for the Forest Service about 1910. The contract required it to be passable by pack horses. That is why is climbs so relentlessly. Were the grade more moderate it would be twice as look. Cheers.

Beautiful picture! LIKE. Best regards, borjan.

Maria i love your photographs. What a composition, beautiful and wonderful.

Озера не слишком холодно. Россиян хотели бы плавать в них. Я делаю также.

Yeh, near Guwahati-capital city of Assam

MuhSaPo, Thanks for greetings

Thanks Romesh, The picture was taken while coming back from Nathu La pass, sikkim. The Lake that you see far in picture is Lake Menmecho, near Kugup village. It is not located along Gangtok-Nathula pass road. You have to follow a separate road to Kugup that bifurcates near Baba Mandir.
