My main reason for joining Pano is because i love the region in which i live and it is a joy to upload shots that i may sometimes take for granted. Its that simple........ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On a separate topic,i am seeing that more and more internet sites are using my images,and not just block selected,but picked individually.this,when you bear in mind my main reason for joining pano,gives me enormous pleasure.however,i have issues with those that take images from sites on the internet (pano,google earth,or associated sites) and use them for their own or company gain.I have seen and read that the correct attribution and links increases ones view counts....to be honest i do not care about view counts.i have no regard for how far above google's great earth that ones images can be viewed,having my time more occupied by family,sheep, or how many lobsters or bass i can acquire on the next appropriate tide!!.you will notice that i upload images that have not been reduced so as to make them worthless to try and reproduce.i prefer to give others as much of the view that i had as possible.this of course leaves my shots wide open to theft/abuse.Since i believe that honesty and integrity are important,i ask that any person who wishes to use my images,but may be confused by the attribution system,merely ask of my consent.should it be related to something that benefits the people or region which has given me a home,i am sure to agree.failure to respect my property and wishes will result in legal action and be sure,that as there is a principle involved,i will not hesitate.john
