If you want to see them too, talk to the lock 2 operators when they open in the spring. They know exactly when the eagles arrive each year. It's also a nice park to walk when the geese haven't ruined it. ;)
Well, I live in West Halfmoon, but I work in Halfmoon and take pictures around town when I see something I like. I have taken a couple thousand over the past 6 years.
Please post some nice pictures of the town! I am always happy to see them. And don't forget there is a annual canal calender that NYS sponsors each year. At: http://www.eriecanalway.org/
I never apply because you have to use Tiff's, I don't think mine are that exceptional, then send them a CD, and the Town isn't made of money to go mailing this stuff around. :(
