I miss the days when all I needed to take pictures was a little double-stroke
M-3 and three tiny lenses.
Now I need a camera bag with wheels on it to be able to drag this
stuff around.
On the other hand, digital editing is A LOT more fun than a color
darkroom! cheers, Rip Tragle

Would you please provide details as to the location of this? Are the pews and wooden cross always up? Or was this set up for an event? Any info would be appreciated - please email stretch06@aol.com
THanks,

My name is Scott Hanes, I am the grandson of George and Kay Blubaugh. My grandparents lived in the little matching house just to the right and just out of the picture of the power plant. my grandpa was the operator/caretaker of the plant since at least the early 50's right through till the flood in 1982! My parents had their wedding reception and photos in front of the small house. I spent many of the happiest days of my childhood there with grandpa and grandma. Grandpa would let me help him monitor adjust the controls, oil the machinery ect
Please consider joining Railroading North America group.. Fantastic photo!
My family had a tour of Dick's castle around 1960. All I remember is going up rickety stairs & looking way down - there seemed to be no floors.
I LOVE their Pistachio!

I think the name of the store may have been ballards.,I remember when it was open around 1957 and the owners had a daughter that lived in the large old white house behind the store. Sitting on the front porch swing and drinking a big RC cola in the Sumer breeze is a fading but fond part of the pat.
