i was based here in 1967-8 in the Royal Marines, and loved the place.

Returned to LAX from this airport on 25 Nov 12 on Air Pacific. Awful airline. Seats in coach much more cramped than on Quantas. In-flight meal for 10 hour flight was something that looked like a hotdog, but was unedible. Paid to upgrade. Paid $45 to use their VIP lounge at the airport, and took it out in food and Jack Daniels.
