The majority of pictures in my gallery here are pieces of Torontiana, showing typical street scenes, urban wildlife (human and other), landmarks and local institutions and their details. The other 10% or so are shots from my occasional trips outside this Canadian city.

Nick, you just hit the nail on the head. A classic!

Eva, take it easy. Just Google these three magic words: fng giant pike :)

S.K, it's high time then. You could check the paintings by Mr. G-K also. He has always helped me to remember what happened.

Kindergarten für zukünftige Fakire, aNNa*. Willkommen :)

Arto, it is nothing compared the woodwork I made at school. My teacher said they were "hmm... interesting!"

Thank you very much, everyone

Thank you, theverbiage. These whooper swans are not very mute. I just read they are close relatives (or even the same species) of the trumpeters in North America.

It was nice to capture their flight from this distance. Their take-off and landing procedures are still on my wish-list. Lots of flapping, splashes and action in sight every time.

Vielen Dank, aNNa! Aber das ist keine Makro - nicht nahe genug, glaube ich.
