The majority of pictures in my gallery here are pieces of Torontiana, showing typical street scenes, urban wildlife (human and other), landmarks and local institutions and their details. The other 10% or so are shots from my occasional trips outside this Canadian city.

Thanks a lot for these words again, Nikolai. All the best

Beautiful shot L and F best wishes, Nikolai

The only part of the "fisheye look" that comes from the fisheye lens is the curve at the bottom. I am trying to rent an 11mm rectilinear lens to try this shot with that. (11-24mm F/4, quite a beast of a lens)

Very glad that you like it. Yep, definitely a mix of textures, innit?

Looking forward to it!

It is the base for an offshore platform I worked on for Worley Parsons Exxon/Mobile Hebron project in Houston, Texas. The topsides will be fabricated just to the other side of that point you see in the background. It will be installed on the base and floated out into the Atlantic to where it will set on the bottom. Wells will be drilled from the platform. Google it, it is a pretty amazing engineering feat.

Just beautiful. I hope you haven't missed them! L+F

Amazing science! Very thorough video guy again (: although I must confess I didn't dare to watch what would happen after the belly warming presentation... :D

Actually I have got that sort of chemical hand warmers you can even re-use by boiling them a few minutes in water. The only setback is that you never ever remember to do so before it's time go out again.
