Well the house its self is not open to the public because of the fact, its distance to the water is about 10 feet lol. or 0, while a storm is about. Rodanthe does have a good selection of cottages to choose from though, so be sure to look around a bit.

The winds on the beach where blowing at a continues 25-40mph at there top speeds, and we where a little hesitate to drive past the point shown above.
