As you can see from my collection of photos, I am a huge fan of our vast, countless national parks. I can't think of a better compliment than when someone comments how some of my photos remind them of postcards. It may be somewhat corny, but that is exactly the look I am striving for in many of my photographs. Thanks for taking the time to view my photos and for having enough interest to check my profile. The remains of the Taiban Presbyterian Church, constructed in 1908 before New Mexico became a state. The 400 citizens of Taiban had great hopes for this little town on the prairie. It once a bank, hotel, several shops, a school, a post office, the church, and was a stop on the railroad. A peaceful little burg? Not at all! The four bars and liquor stores were the only place to buy booze for 100's of miles to the east. Old folks will tell you that people used to fly their planes into Taiban to cart liquor back to West Texas and Oklahoma when these here parts were dry as a dusty day!

Very uncommon place , , with a very interesting point of view !

Did you label this 'New Orleans' to increase the views? (it worked!) This is actually in St. Charles parish upriver from New Orleans & Orleans Parish

Great photo of one of my favorite towns. Wish I had taken it.

Thank you, Slavko!

Actually, this is not Knoll Park but is Henry George Park. Knoll Park is behind the photograph and across the street.
