Roger Brown's conversations

That was a fireproof plan storage room on the basement floor (survey office)... All plans were kept in here and had to be returned to it at the end of each day.... there was a strict clear desk policy....

Thank you for the correction. It's taken a while for the amendment to filter through. I love this area. Will be there on foot soon.

I don't like to break up a good squabble... but it is definitely Roundwood Quay and has been for the last 60 years to my personal knowledge..... also early OS maps 1870's call it Roundwood Quay.... If Nat Trust want to reinvent the facts (normal for them!) they should be told to stick to historical facts and not make up their own history, this only causes confusion and arguments

If you know exactly where this is..please let me know

Hi Sorry if I have not replied sooner... I do not check these too often... You are welcome to use any of my photos on your Avoca thro the years page, as long as you say who took them. also any of my text can be used on the site... I will try to have a look on the site myself later, I may see some stuff that bring back memories. Kind Regards Roger

Thanks for your kind comments about my photos... By co-incidence I was looking at your photos a couple of days ago and particularly liked the way you caught the spirit of the whole thing in this one photo Roger
