TRISTE LAC is French for " sad lake " In Spanish it would be TRISTE LAGO or LAGO TRISTE.....Today I was reading that here in this lake which is MONO LAKE in California, lives a type of bacterium found only here of all of Planet Earth.......Very interesting.....Those calcium rock formations are known as TUFA rocks.....Sierra Cuban, CM González...Miami, Florida......
I've lived in Eureka California my whole life and can tell you with out a doubt in my mind that this picture was not taken anywhere near where it is tagged.
