Hi Jools, glad the snap brought memories. My wife grew up in Churt...we often go back for a walk. I asked her about the heronery and apparently it isn't still there.
I went to school at Pierrepont 1976-1978, then 1981-1983 and this picture reminds me of so many good times out there and also the brutal winter cross country runs we used to have to do! Thanks!!
