Post storm no doubt..

My lady and I went to Tulum for her birthday - May '08. We camped 2 or 3 nights under a palapa/tree house sort of structure. It had bathrooms and running water. It was away from the tourism spots.. we had the beach to ourselves the whole time..we wore little clothes if any. Perfect.

I visited San Blas again last week. They've actually restored the old customs house pictured. An amazing feat, but not a change I can appreciate. It and the other old ruins were what gave SB it's charm.

Some reason these fotos are purple??

Would you look at the map image to your right? Everything surrounding the small neighborhoods has been raped. Some 'hoods were removed too. I hear they're back digging for gold now.

This tree was cut down for some reason..!

I know the fresh water spring was called La Tovara, but not the beach...

It is a nice picture though
