Thanks for your nice comments, iamsayda. Knowing you live in the area, I highly recommend that you visit the Ice Cream Parlor (not shown) just to the left of this photo. The new owners make old fashioned Ice Cream Parlor drinks and sundays like those of my childhood 5 decades ago. Best regards. -art

Your shots of Keuka lake are quite beautiful, iamsayda. Here is a shot I took in Hammondsport a week or two ago. Best regards. -Art

iamsayda, Thank you. You are absolutely correct. I recently was back in the area and this shot is not Hammondsport, my mistake, it was Penn Yan. We entered Penn Yan on our bikes on rt 14a and stopped at the Public Library and I took two shots of fine houses across New York avenue from the library. This Pano photo was uploaded just 2 days after I returned from this bike trip and in a place where I did not have our Bike Tour map to check the location. I believe the Olympic pool was actually at Watkins Glen Central School. We stayed in a camp ground near Hammondsport and ate in the Fire Hall after riding from Watkins Glen through Penn Yan, down along the East side of Keuka lake. We passed through Penn Yan again to en route to Geneva NY on the West side of Keuka lake. I think this is why I got confused about where the shots came from. Please correct me again if the above shot is not Penn Yan. While riding my roadbike I get "in the zone" and just follow the arrows to the next destination. Best regards. -Art

Thanks Iamsayda. The photo is straight off the camera. A storm had just run through (I got soaked!) but the summer afternoon sunshine that followed just lit the place up. Oh, and it was windy. Just look at the grass on the dune.
