Everyone sees something different. Don't apologise. For me it's memories of my childhood in Paignton, and, in true 1950's style, Broadsands was a 'long way' and only visited on special occasions!. Later on I was able to appreciate the importance of Brunel's influence on the railway (especially the pair of bridges). And later still the occasional homesickness, and the realisation i shall only visit 'home' with such illuminating pictures like yours. Thank, Herb, for the photo, and for reawaking the kid in me!
Hi again Andy, I have passed this scene many times since and never saw it again quite like this. Of course the children make this! As you say, reading comments on such pages can be really interesting. The comment from southaussie above is of particular interest.
