In the summer we like to walk along Peachland’s lakefront. Our walk is 2 Ks in each direction and the lakefront is all public beach. We like to top-off our stroll with an ice cream cone at Heritage Park before heading home.

Known for their tasty sticky buns, whole grain breads, gourmet sandwiches, and dark roast coffee, Bliss Bakery is a popular meeting spot for locals and visitors alike.

The remains of the ambitious irrigation flume that carried water from Peachland Creek (Deep Creek) to the Greta Ranch (now called the GREATA Ranch) located midway between Summerland and Peachland on the shore of Okanagan Lake. The flume was approximately 10 kilometres long and constructed of wood and galvanized metal. Peachland pioneer Earl Sutherland, now in his 80s worked at the ranch's orchard for about 5 years, beginning when he was 15 years old. He speaks of climbing 16’ triangulated ladders to pick large ripe apples from the treetops. “We didn’t worry much about falling because there was so much tree all around us.” The Fitzpatrick family’s Cedar Creek Winery now owns Greata Ranch. The fruit trees have long since been removed and the land now boasts a magnificent vineyard. Beside the vineyard, Concord Pacific is planning a major residential resort development.

The Gasthaus has a fabulous atmosphere with lots of brik-a-brak on the walls. They offer both a pub and a fine dining facility (located in the attached log house) though in the summer, the most popular seats are on the outdoor patio with a panoramic view of Lake Okanagan, roller bladers, strollers, and all manner of summer lovers.
