I stayed there a few days June 2009. The hotel is called "Inn by the Sea". Relatively cheap but OK. Nice view. There is a beach, which I expected to be worse considering it's a "big" shipping port city. But there are broken bottles, cans and stuff, though it's not so much that it would be overwhelming to clean up. There is a swimming club just to the east along the shore.
