Hi Michell, sorry for not getting back quicker but I don't visit this site too much. The area that the Balcony's, (formerly known as The Jaws of Death), are is at approx, 37 08 58.46 S, 142 27 30.33 E. They are situated approx a 1klm walk from Reeds Lookout.
Regards,
Steve
Ho Carlos,
HB-IKS is not a private aircraft but a Canadair owned by a charter company named Air Charter AG. Still a nice capture. I fly often from that place, Locarno, LSZL
I have just found out that this image is not in the correct place. It is actually only a short distance from Middelton, some miles to the east of where you put it.
Check out the photos Middelton phonebox by Paul Christiansen at * 22°21'8.37"S 141°32'59.70"E *
The bit of tree on the righ hand side and the base of the plinth in your photo (above) is actually opposite the old Hilton Hotel, Middelton, Qld.
Can you please correct your icon location. It is not at Willis, but 166km eastwards along the road.
Regardless, weather is within a 100 miles of the right spot; it sure is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy your cold drink. Be that brown, clear or black drink, we are not supposed to say brands, its advertising... :-)
I'd put it 270 metres NE of its present spot, so I reckon it is near enough. Unless you live at the pub, it is immaterial. No complaints from me, Mate!
Michel Rapelli's conversations
beautiful desolate countryside.
I saw an old photo from 1893 when this was the Breakfast Creek Hotel. Beautiful shot of classic architecture. Like

In fact, I'd say this chap is a pretty normal Aborigine. Many of them smoke and drink, often much more that other Aussies.
Such was the case when I lived in South Australia, until '97. Kept off the smokes, and minimal booze, thank goodness!
