Your photo has been selected by our PROXY Florence team to be part of the Beyond Media 2009 – ‘Visions’ International Festival in Florence this July 9 – 17 in the installation called PROXY Florence. Your Geotagged photo of Florence will be turned into a postcard and located according to its coordinate data to form a scaled down version of the city within the space of the installation at Stazione Leopolda in Florence, Italy. The focus of PROXY 1.0 is Florence, Italy [43°46’22”N - 11°15’27”E]. Your image, which will be turned into one unique postcard among a thousand unique postcards, will be part of the exhibit and seen by thousands of people. Visitors will be encouraged to take one of the postcards to keep as a souvenir or mail to a friend. PROXY Florence will track the travel of your image. Each participant will be credited at the exhibit. If you would like to participate, simply email us at proxyflorence@gmail.com to give us permission to use your photo and so that we can properly track your image please send us the city, province, and country of where you live now.
