Of course you are right - this is not a blue monkey. I was mistaken because I thought it was named blue monkey after its blue scrotum which I clearly recognized. I never since thought about the name again. Common names are sometimes misleading.
May I tell you that I am well aware of your work at the fishery research unit since I am doing a study on the phylogenetic relationship of the
gastropod genus Bellamya in my master thesis.
This was also the reason for my visit to Monkey Bay in 2006 and 2007. Maybe next time I will post some underwater photos of snails in Panoramio.
