polsrids's conversations

Thank you, Dhirubhai, I see from your photos, you've seen the glacier up close and personal - it is quite impressive at the toe as well as from a distance. This is a scan of a pre-digital camera photo. I have returned with a digital camera, but smoke from distant forest fires prevented a clear shot.

Centuries ago Moughal Empror Zahir ud Din (BABAR) said about Kashmir That "If heavan on earth exists it is here" but I wonder If He have had seen the CANADA What would be his remarks?

beautiful house

Very picturesque, restful view of the village. Glorious place to spend a childhood. Lucky you!

Great scenery from this elevation.

Home of 445 Squadron (CF-100 Canucks) during the fifties. The structure was in a pristine condition then. It is a sad time to see the buildings of the base which were maintained with such great pride and the manicured lawns of the Royal Canadian Air Force era in such a state of deterioration today. It is not only normal deterioration, but also much vandalism. There's not much pride shown in the buildings maintenance now. Shameful!
