hi Jorupa, the photo was taken in Yakutsk, Russia, last winter. but be sure: you can stand that minus 46 degrees for a while - just two days later we had minus 52 and it was even colder.
hi dosjan, indeed, it was in December 2008. I participated in the expedition "Paris - New York Transcontinental" and we passed Olgiy in two big Jeeps Wrangler Rubicon with trailers and pontons on them. В принципе Акташ переводится как белый камень или белая скала. Белый бом фактически означает то же самое. Так что интурист не так далёк от истины. :-)
