Hi Ferryboy. Thanks for the comments. It's good to have some information about this 'old girl'. I understand she was brought back from Ireland for restoration, but haven't heard how it's going. This ferry marks the end of centuaries of ferries at this point on the Severn. It would be good to see her doing 'tourist duty' in the area. Maybe as she doesn't need the deep water that the Waverley needs, she could go upstream.

as a lad i worked on the ferry and i well remember the severn princess,depicted and her well known chepstow skipper percy palmer,very very happy days
