This beautiful scenic New Creek Mountain lies in both Grant and Mineral County.
The AES New Creek Project, LLC is under attack for the placement of 66 industrial wind turbines that will 420 tall. This will raise the ridge top 20-25%.
The entire mountain to the right of the gap will be covered by wind turbines. Privatizaiton of wind, without regard to the community.
This project is home to rare small footed bat, within pathway to migratory birds (golden eagles, bald eagles, hawks, vultures)
The proposed project is in public viewing areas of historical and cultural scenery buildings, and will cause a major issue wit migratory pathways.
The project will be the viewshed of Dolly Sods Wilderness area, and wildlife managment areas.
