I´ve always been drawing or painting something, then in the early years (´67) of high school I discovered photography. I always knew I would want to use my creativity and went on the study photo first at Rochester then to The Philadelphia College of Art. The times and opprotunity sent me overseas. I guess it was in me. I was born in Germany and went to America at 5yrs. Then I grew up and left for overseas. Many years first in Nepal/India, then 20 yrs in Belize. Unfortunately never with a darkroom and slowly photography slipped to the side. After I finally left Belize 5 yrs ago to return to Germany I slowly saw that digital had ripened to what film was for me before. It has been a wonderful return to my roots. Drawing & painting had never been as satisfying in those many years in between. My location is now in Italy in the warm months and Garmisch till the spring comes back. For some years before Garmisch I was in Berlin after Belize but I was never a good city boy. Now in Garmisch the winter holds something also.
