I am a retired person, from work that is. I have been sea kayaking for about 30 years and used this activity to get to some beautiful, remote, inaccessible places to take photos. I have been very appreciative of the arrival of the digital age as this has allowed me to take panoramic images with very little cost. I stitch images together to recreate what I can see on my sea kayaking expeditions. Enjoy the trips.

The wreck is the "Gunnadale" and was a steamer wrecked in 1917

Hi Jeff, Found it, what a beautiful spot so to speak. I ended up going in from the road across the lagoons which where totally dry. then on the way out went via the fossils back to the beach. My first attempt I was around 100mtrs to far to the east and as you know alot of the spots you cant just duck across. A great adventure and thanks again for your replies and help

Is there any other great spots to find in Tassie that you would like to share with me ? :) Like the cemetery...

Nice place! LIKE. Greetings, Petr

De Witt Island (aka Big Witch) is the largest of the Maatsuyker Group. Its NE bluff is known as 'Baldy'.
