All of these multi-story houses have since been demolished.
Ginger Pussy; interesting shot of the Cross Bar, Gallowgate..
Why this pub? (I have a genuine curiosity)
What is special about this picture is it's taken from outside the museum through darkened glass where the cars can't be seen from the outside...great shot.
C'MON INTER! scrawled on an old dividing wall. After studying old pictures of this area it appears this wall was on the INNER side of the old shipyard. Why would someone go to the trouble of letting his feelings known about a football club from Italia? Was it an Italian shipbuilder, a fan of Inter Milan working for John Brown & Co. (Clydebank) Ltd at the time? Mm,very unlikely. I think this: The workforce of JB&Co was predominantly made up of staunch protestant supporters of the famous football team Rangers F.C. one such worker decided to finish off an old spare tin of QE2 paint on who he wanted to win the 1967 European Cup Final, obviously his fellow workers would have agreed with him. RMS Queen Elizabeth 2, often referred to simply as the QE2 was launched 4 months later on 20 September 1967
What a superb picture.
Miles from Loch Lomond is correct. The picture was taken from a light aircraft above the River Clyde. Well spotted.
As Kenny has said PLEASE make the correction in your other Troon pics.
This is NOT in England you fool, it is in SCOTLAND.
Always stop there for a breather on my way up to the church of San Martino, going there again 12th Nov this year
