Great photo rob, one query though St Petersburg also had a siege in World War 2, the city was then called Leningrad, doesn't this monument commemorate that siege? Stalingrad is actually much further south and is now the city of Volgograd. Any way I truely like the photo and whatever, its definately as you say, one created in the Stalin era.
