My great grandfather was the last miller to work at Crabble corn mill before it ceased production in about 1903. My great grandfather died in 1905 at the age of 59. The cause of death was given as flour on the lungs. He had 18 children, 14 of whom survived to adulthood. His widow continued to live in the mill cottage next to the mill until her death at the ripe old age of 86.
